This was performed on Ten Mile Lake in August 1994 at the Macklin Family Reunion. I am married to Marybeth Nelson (Macklin). The daughter of Ellenore Nelson (Macklin). Randy Vosbeck is on the Ten Mile Lake Association, and he is Marybeth's uncle.

[Here is] an mp3 of my father singing the song while accompanying himself on piano, a Microsoft Word document of the lyrics and a jpeg file of dad enjoying his favorite Ten Mile activity…fishing.
I don’t know exactly when the song was written but, since I don’t remember a time when it wasn’t being sung, I suspect it was penned sometime in the late 40’s or early 50’s. The song has been a lasting memory for many of the families on the northwest shore for decades; from those in my parent’s generation through my children’s generation.
